About Us

THE NINETY-NINES, INC.®, is an international organization of licensed women pilots from 44 countries - we currently have thousands of  members throughout the world with around 50 members in the Las Vegas Chapter. We are a non-profit, charitable membership corporation holding 501(c)(3) U.S. tax status. Our International Headquarters is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Although there are other female pilot organizations in various states and nations, virtually all women of achievement in aviation have been or are members of The Ninety-Nines. Today Ninety-Nines are professional pilots for airlines, industry and government; we are pilots who teach and pilots who fly for pleasure; we are pilots who are technicians and mechanics. But first and foremost, we are women who love to fly!

The Ninety-nines, Inc. - Inspiring Women Pilots Since 1929

Our Mission

The 99s History

On November 2, 1929, in Long Island New York, 117 women pilots were invited to gather for encouragement of women in aviation and to establish a group that would show endless support for its members. In 1931, Amelia Earhart was elected as the first president and the group chose the name "Ninety-Nines" to represent the original 99 charter members.

Las Vegas Vision

The Las Vegas Chapter of the Ninety-nines is an inclusive group of women who have come together thanks to our love of flying. Our members hail from various backgrounds and support one another's unique aviation ambitions. Our goal is to create a supportive community for females in aviation in the Las Vegas area. If you live in the Las Vegas area and hold at least a student pilot certificate, we'd love to welcome you into our chapter!
